Join us for our 163rd Annual General Meeting

Our AGM takes place on Wednesday, 22 April 2026

Our 163rd Annual General Meeting

11.00am, Wednesday, 22 April 2026

at Westwood Golf Club

Newcastle Road, Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 7AA.

Attending the AGM gives you the opportunity to meet the Board, hear about the Society’s performance, ask questions and exercise your voting rights in person.

You will also be able to hear from the Port Vale Foundation, one of the many community organisations with whom we work, which operates across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.

Information about our AGM

  • How can I vote?

If you qualify to vote, you will receive your AGM voting pack which has all the information you will need to vote. You do not need to attend the AGM in person to be able to vote. In fact, most members tend to vote online or by post before the AGM.

Online votes are captured on a secure voting portal administered by Howsons Electoral Services who are our independent scrutineers for the AGM. You will require your user ID and password which can be found on the Proxy Voting Form enclosed in your mailing pack. If you have received your AGM pack by email, the link provided will take you straight through to the online voting portal. Alternatively you can click below to vote.

Note: Voting online or by post closes on 12 noon on 18 April 2026. If you're attending the meeting, you can still vote on the day.

  • Attending the AGM

If you are planning to attend, please register by sending an email, including your customer number, which can be found on the top of your letter or email, to agmregistration@leekbs.co.uk by 12 noon on 18 April 2026. Alternatively, you can register by calling us or by visiting one of our branches. If you wish to vote at the AGM, you will need to bring your voting form or some other evidence of your Leek Building Society membership such as your passbook or mortgage statement. Car parking will be available at Westwood Golf Club.

  • What should I do if I have a question for the Board?

You are invited to submit any questions you have ahead of the AGM by emailing agmquestions@leekbs.co.uk or you can write to us at Leek Building Society, 50 St. Edward Street, Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 5DL. When doing so, please include your customer number which you will also find at the top of your letter or email. All questions will be answered at the AGM and will be recorded, anonymously, within the minutes of the meeting which will be published on our website afterwards. The closing date for receipt of questions ahead of the AGM is 12 noon on 18 April 2026. Of course if you are attending the AGM in person, you will be able to ask questions during the meeting.

  • Your vote will help local charities and community groups

For every online vote received, we will donate 50 pence and for every vote received by post, we will donate 25 pence to this year’s nominated charity, Your Emotional Support Service, which supports adults and children with their mental health and wellbeing.

  • You can help the environment too

Many of our members have opted to receive their AGM pack by email and we would like to thank them for helping the environment. In recognition of this, we will pass the savings in our postage costs to this year’s nominated charity. If you would like us to send your AGM and other information by email in the future, you can opt to do this when you are voting online or when you are filling out your Proxy Voting Form.
